MEXICO CITY - During the month of July and August JO-HS had the pleasure of hosting Maria Vogel, art advisor and writer. Maria Vogel is the founder of Rococo Art Advisory. Vogel’s experience in the art world covers almost every corner, from blue-chip and emerging galleries to institutions and start-ups.

Jack Mernin: Still Wants in Motion

NEW YORK, NY – JO-HS NY is pleased to present their second foray in the US with a solo exhibition of paintings by Jack Mernin, an American artist from their roster. The title 'Still Wants in Motion' holds multiple meanings, alluding to the act of painting as dialectics at a standstill, yet still moving and fueled by desire. The paintings are accompanied by a text written by Jack referring to a moment with a friend.
The exhibition will be on view from June 23rd until August 11th by appointment only.

Melissa Rios: Realities in Dialogue

NEW YORK, NY – JO-HS, the gallery, design space and artist studio residency in Mexico City, is pleased to announce its first foray in the US, with a new space in the heart of Tribeca (121 Watts Street) timed to Frieze Week. JO-HS works primarily with emerging contemporary artists supporting them with the production, exhibition and distribution of their art. For the inaugural exhibition, JO-HS will present Realities in Dialogue, a solo exhibition of work by Costa-Rican painter Melissa Ríos. The exhibition will include 18 surreal, sensual, and highly technique oil paintings that display a mix of body and form.

Jack Mernin is an American artist who divides his time between Manila, Philippines, New York, NY, and Belleville, PA. Mernin received his B.F.A from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2014. JO-HS will be working in partnership with @trotterandsholer gallery in New York to support Jack’s career through co-presentation

Runway ShowNin is an ethically made woman owned independent art project inspired by the transformation of matter. Using clothing as its medium since 2018 Nin Studio transforms the intangible into the tangible.
Handcrafted pleats and prints are characteristic techniques of the brand, with the production of fabrics focused on environmental care and support for small local businesses within Mexico City.
